Hurray, another entry. I like this one a lot too. You guys are making it difficult for me to choose.
Good stuff guys. Where is everyone else's entry? Three days left. Lets see some more. |

Ok sis, I don't have everybody else's abilities, but I have fading memories of this house, of sleeping in it, while everybody else was sleeping at grandma's house. (FYI - this house was located in Grapeview, Wa near Shelton.)

While the rest of you have come up with some interesting variations of this house, for me it's not the same as it is in this picture. My memories have faded with age, but I still remember it. If I remember right, this house was one room with an outhouse in back. If you right turn, go about 200 yards, there is a small inlet cove off the Puget Sound. Also our grandmothers house (Bunny's and mine) was right there. If you all ask Bunny politely enough, maybe she will post a picture of grandma's house.
PS - There was no electricity to this house. It had a wood burning stove, for heating and cooking, and oil lanterns for light. |

Ok here it is time to announce the winner but first a little history. Like Morgan said this house has a lot of deeply rooted fond memories. We come from a large family and spent a lot of time here with our Aunts & Uncles & cousins when we were growing up. Actually Auntie Ree's house had 3 rooms. The one in front, the main room and the bedroom off to the side. Here is the only photo I can find of the house from back then. Aunty Ree is the one on the left and the lady on the right was one of my Uncle Frank's girlfriends. |
