Here's a picture that seemed like a good idea at the time, but.... The challenge is to use it, or bits of it, to create a repeating pattern. Manipulate it in any way whatsoever--just so it's part of the end product, and the end product is a pattern.
Unlimited entries; deadline will be Sunday evening; have fun! __________________

Good start, Russell. The first has kind of an airy, windy feel; the rising column is really nice. I like the intricate weave in the second, with the enclosing curves and the dynamic vertical lines.

Ok - a quick effort for me. Been a while since I've had an entry, so apologies for missing a few
.I made a copy of the image, flipped it horizontally and put the two togther, then copied and flipped that image vertically and joined it to the previous image, then did a watery overlay on the bottom half. Hopefully that makes sense! ![]() |

Rense, i can't decide if its a pattern or not--it's certainly a rhythm, and definitely a cool image.
DC, i'm pretty sure that IS a pattern, and it has a lot of wow. You're all doing great things with this one. Keep it up! |

Okay, you all win. All of these are excellent work and show some really creative thinking. Thanks to all of you for submitting.
But, i was taken with the intricate, woven-wicker look of Russell's second image, so Focusing on Florida will lead us to Challenge 61. Congratulations! |
