Default Well I'm An Idiot
I've gotten used to the viewfinder. Still can't get as clear as I like and have to shift over to autofocus, which wastes a lot of time.

So I was out there a few minutes ago, taking pictures of the moon when I look down and see this dial.
By the viewfinder.

Yeah.

Hey, things are REALLY SUPER SHARP NOW in the frickin' viewfinder all of a sudden! Can't wait to go out tomorrow on a photo safari!

LOL awesome, at some point in time loading or unloading out of the bag I managed to turn the little dial all the way to one end or the other. So I power up bring up the camera and feel the stomach drop as I 'know' the camera or lens is wrecked!! ahhhhhhh good times.

I think it took me a week or two to find it on mine. I also thought the lens was pooched.

Wonder if making the dial the same orange color as the mounting point marker is, or even make it white would help, or at least have people go, 'wonder what that is"

YOu would be suprised how many people make the same mistake. Havint to Demo your own cameras also create issues. I had someone set my A900 to mirrow lock up and it took me a good hour to figure out what was going one with my camera.
