Problem with Sony DSC-W100 - PhotoCamel

Hi can anyone offer any advice, I have a DSC-W100 camera. when i switch it on my lens moves in out a couple times then the screen on the back of the camera comes up with 'access' followed by 'turn the power off and on again'. this i have done but it comes back on with the same message. any advice would be appreciated. I have checked my manual but there is no mention of this problem.

hi, if you put a towel on a hard table top surface, face the camera at the towel about .5" from the surface then turn the camera on the lens should come out, then go back in...then try the camera....it may take a few times...I ruined mine by forcing the lens before i tried this...but it has worked for many many people, so i hear.
