Sony camera with problems (red lines in pictures)

I am having a problem with my sony camera it is not the greatest camera but it is a decent one Model DSC-S750. When I take pictures sometimes I get red lines across the picture it is very random sometimes they are there sometimes they are not. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you use any sort of lens hood? And the lens is completely clean and free of any streaks?

Stock camera nothing changed or added to the camera just a plan point and shoot camera. The lens looks clean. No scratches. Memory card is a name brand and has worked good for long time. Full battery. Like I said no settings changed. This happens in different areas to indoor/outdoor lighted/unlighted. But it may happen 3 out of 5 pictures just very random.

Had a similar problem with one of my cameras in 2006. My pictures had the same type of lines only purple-ish instead of red. Happened randomly, but eventually the lines showed up all the time. Mine was diagnosed to be sensor failure or deterioration of sensor connections due to high heat/high humidity environment (Tucson in August).

Don't know if that's the same problem you're having but the signs are close enough so thought I'd post the info.
