George, my grandfather, 1918



I think the shot was taken in France with a Kodak Brownie. Probably something that folds like this one :



I found this photo while scanning old family photos. It really captures my imagination especially since he has such a resemblance to my daughter and I.

I started to wonder if other Camels had doughboys in their collections too

Oops a Doughboy is a WW1 American soldier, sorry I didn't mention that.

I think the British soldiers were called Limeys - so those on the other side of the ocean can post their Limeys

I think their friends include France, Russia, New Zealand, Belgium, Serbia, Canada, Australia, Italy, and Romania.
