As title states these were taken with the new samsung galaxy note smartphone.

And this is the setup. The phone is a midget compared to the heavy tripod:





Cymidium (Orchid) was postprocessed in RAW THERAPEE (adjusted white balance, cropped, sharpened)

I am amazed at the sharpness and quality this phonecam delivers. My usual cameras being Leicas, Nikon D700 and m43, I never expected such results. At times, some post-processing might be necessary for optimum results, as with any camera.

great shots everyone amazing how far phones have come
I remember my 1st cell phone LOL used to be on Bell Atlantic which is now Verizon.
The thing looked like an army phone and the ringer was soo loud
call quality sounded like a cb radio and funny enough sometimes you will hear
truck drivers talking while you where having a cell phone conversation if it wasn't
that it would be occasional on humid days Newark Approach EWR

Sorry for the late reply guys, thanks Peter for your comment i guess mobile phones have come a long way all i had to do was resize, frame and watermark. the cam is 8meg and video is full hd i love this phone. oh and by the way panos are awesome love the way this stitches images together it would put a lot of well known programs to shame. No wonder so many people are ditching there iphones inc the new 4s for this phone i hardly ever use my pc now only for editing.


Josh you are correct buddy its one hell of a phone or should i say Phablet a cross between tablet n phone.
