I shoot for a client that sends me on location. Several product shots were seen by the manufacturer and they contacted my client, their dealer, for enlargements. My client pays me for my time and under our agreement, I provide them with images strictly for their use.

I recently was emailed a product brochure from the vendor of my client and in it was an image from one of my photo shoots.

I gave no permission for 3rd party use, and am unsure as to how to proceed from here. Has anyone had anything like this happen before and if so, what did you do?

I will have to update my contract to include verbiage about situations such as this in the future. Without a signed contract in place, I don't believe I have much recourse.

Here's a good place to start.
Photo Attorney

Hope it helps.
