Default insufficient resolution

I have created a few collages for people to order off zenfolio however they are not able to order the sizes they need due to insufficient resolution. How can I fix this?

Increase the resolution. Use your image editing software. Open the resize dialog box, increase the resolution miking sure the resample box is checked. In Photoshop I prefer the Bicubic sharper algorithm.

If Mpix is doing the prints 100 ppi is their minimum resolution.

I have a question (or two ot three) that I've asked before and received no response. If Mpix has a minimum resolution of 100 ppi for making prints, why do they scan negatives (to put on a CD) at 72 ppi? This is stated on their website under film services, and I've received 72 ppi film scans from them.

So, by increasing the resolution in Photoshop, you're making PS create lots more pixels, correct? It's somehow upsampling the image going by the pixels that the photo originally had and increasing the pixel dimensions? Wouldn't the quality be better if the resolution was higher from the beginning?
