I had some 20x30 prints from AdoramaPix (not a book, I know), but they did a great job on it too. They even shipped it flat instead of rolled.

I very very highly recommend this book, and the turn around time was extremely quick as well. Doesn't even compare to the Blurb books that I've tried in the past. These books are printed on actual photo paper and binded with the cool hinge method so you can get a pano across the pages. Also the software is all internet based which is good and bad. It stores the info online and some on the PC if you let it. It's cool though, because you can edit from multiple computers. All I can say is check it out and I'm really impressed and planning on using them from now on. Unless of course something better comes alone. I'll takes some high res photos later today so you can see the quality for yourself

Best,
Jay
Hi Jay

Just wanted to thank you for your great review of the AdoramPix photobooks - which I've passed over to the 'pix team.

For members who might be unfamiliar with the new books, here are some details: the books are hardcover, and are printed on Fujifilm Crystal Archive Album photo paper, so they are not press printed, which makes them very, very different from all the press books.

We took this decision as we discovered that with press books, there were frequently issues with color variations, which we wanted to avoid.
AdoramaPix books are basically digital c-prints bound in a book, with 100% lay-flat bindings.
We are careful to ensure that we have no issues of color shift with books printed at different times on different machines. We also have ICC profiles available for download on our website (at no extra charge!) for the maximum control over your images and finished book.

We do appreciate that this is a relatively new medium, and we are learning more effective methods all the time.
If there are improvements that we could make we are always keen to learn from our customers - for example where there are issues or problems that we need to resolve.

Please don't hesitate to contact me directly, if we can provide any additional help, advice or support.

Sincerely

Got my first book...I did a 56 page wedding album and it is INCREDIBLE! I LOVE IT!

Here are some tips for folks ordering the books:

The first two pages should be considered your INTRODUCTORY PAGES.

I wasn't quite aware of that when I ordered, so my first pictures show up on the inside cover of the book. Had I been aware I would have left the first page blank and put my logo on the second page THEN started the book.

Same thing at the end. Leave one blank page at the very end. My book has my last image on the inside cover.

Looking forward to more size options, but this is going to be a great asset to my business.

Kelly,

Just to make sure I followed the thread correctly, did you order your book from AdoramaPix or one of the others mentioned?

Kelly, Did you preview the book before you ordered it? And how did you get 56 pages? I thought it was only 26 or 50?

Thanks,
Jay

Thank you so much for the feedback! I've passed it on to the team at AdoramaPix, who I know will also be delighted.

Okay...my head is messed up and I couldn't remember correctly.

I ordered the 50 page book. So with the subtraction of the inside cover front and back it would be a 48 page book or a 46 page book.

I know the Adorama book was here when I returned from Finland and it was the first thing I picked up. Dare I say this....but the inside was very comparable to my Graphistudio books. Pages a bit less thick, and cover options are limited...but my Graphistudio Albums are quite expensive. And dare I say this? I would not want to order an Asuka book after holding this one and looking at the pages.

Now about the cover...it fingerprints easily and I am not sure the cure for this.

Jay, I did not preview it as I mad the ASSUMPTION about the first two pages. When ordering Graphi books, the first two are not counted...and Asuka has you put your first image on page number 2 of the book.

But it was a lesson learned! The book is fabulous, the price is fantastic, and above all IT MAKES ME LOOK GOOD! Now I want different size options. My most popular wedding book is a 10 x 10.

I will do a little research to explain other sizes I would like to see...cuz Adorama has a HOT ITEM with this one!

Thanks kelly I'm really glad you thought it was as good as I did 10x10 would be nice, but they do have 12x12! I'm sure the options will come quick, cause now that the word is out these books are gonna move!

Jay
