Default ...going A0 (90cm x 135cm)... techniques? sharpening? ;-)) M@H

This week our (construction) company took delivery of a HP DesignJet 1100C+, basically a A0 colour plotter, but... with full colour printing capabilities.

The 'Installation Manual' told us to 'test and print a photo at A0 in best quality to find any issues with the new printerheads' etc.

So we just took one of my 20D files and send it pretty much as-it-was (sharpened etc for A3, 30cmx40cm, ?8'x10'?).

And although even on 'calc' paper (standard HP plotter paper with some 'fibre' in it) the result was stunning to say the least, my feeling is it could have been even better if the picturefile had been better adjusted for the huge printsize.

So my question: is anyone overhere familiar with this plotter/printer and has some tips/settings/postprocessing to share, that brings out the best possible prints?

Thanks in advance, kindest regards,

Max@Home
