From what I understand...nothing (or maybe the quality of ink is improved). Giclee is the art gallery term for inkjet printing. I more associate it with an actual painting that has been scanned and subsequently printed. So that you have a giclee of the painting.

Lori ... The term has come to mean many things to many people and gets used mostly as a marketing ploy to get away from the term inkjet print which has a stigma attached to it because it is associated with low cost, hence considered by many to be poor quality, printing. Your 7600 would be considered by many to produce giclee prints.

According to Wikipedia (and others,) the word "giclée" is derived from the French language word "le gicleur" meaning "nozzle", or more specifically "gicler" meaning "to squirt, spurt, or spray."
In other words, it's a two-dollar word that means "inkjet." |

A bit like a 'Lumiquest' or a 'Whale tail' is a cut plastic dishwasher detergent bottle for 50 bucks (and about as much useful effect). __________________
