I currently have an Epson R1800 which has a gloss optimizer cartridge that eliminates the layered ink look that I see on so many inkjet prints. I'm going to be doing portraits at the local mall for Christmas this year and would like to upgrade my printer to the Epson 3800. My concern is, will the prints have that "layered ink" look? I've read many glowing reviews on this printer, but I've also read some comments about it not having the gloss optimizer. Anyone have any experience with this printer?
