Default Epson 3800 Printer

I am buying an Epson 3800 printer. Is the pro model worth the extra $300, It looks like the extra price is for the RIP software. This being my first Pro printer I am not familiar with RIP software. Any suggestions?

You probably won't need the RIP and the one Epson sells isn't really that good. It's a scaled-down version that only supports Epson media. Just get the regular 3800 and you'll be happy.

Thanks for the suggestion Tom. I think I am going to order the standard Model. I can get it for $1195.00.
