Unhappy R1800 Stuck print head

My R1800 head is stuck and will not release even with the power off.
Both red lights are blinking.
I was starting to print and the first print some color was missing
I refilled the inks, I use a CIS system , I ran a head cleaning and nozzle check
and that the cyan was not printing I wated about 10 min. and tried again
and thats when the head stuck and the lights started flashing.
The machine has not seen a lot of use, I am a hobbyist and I print
for my own use. about 350 8.5x11 and 10 13x19s in 2 1/2 years.
I would sure like some help or advise

thank you
carl

The stuck print head could be from a lack of use. Sorry that I don't have a suggestion for a fix. Oddly enough we recently began having troubles with all three of the R1800s we use weekly. I can't help but wonder about the coincidence of these issues have with the release of the all new R1900 and of course its different ink system.

Perhaps calling Epson Tech support. I have not dealt with them personally, but it makes sense to contact them first to see what they can tell you. Good luck

Epson support probably won't help given that non-Epson ink is being used. Both lights flashing red is an indication of a jam somewhere or an improper paper feed slot. If the power light (green) is flashing, it is an unknown error.
