Default Help with calibration with i1Display 2

Ok, so I did what it said on instructions and process to calibrate monitor.

My Settings:
Westinghouse 24" LCD Monitor
Gamma: 2.2
Luminance: 120 (LCD Recommended)
White Point: 6500K

After I have done everything, and all setting are set. My screen looks darker than it should. The whites now look like whitish grey. To get my Luminance setting into the green area of where the software said it needs to be, I lowered my brightness down to 6. It had me set my contrast to around 62.

Should my screen be so dark, I did it 3 times and said same thing and all settings in the green dead on what calibrating program says it should be.

Is this right? Feels and seems weird looking at it.

I do not know...but it seems to tie directly in with how the Epson printer seems to print dark. Maybe we have all grown accustomed to having our monitors way to bright. I wish my screen was calibrated sometimes, this is not one of them.
