Hello all
A friend at work has asked me to do a photo shoot with himfor his latest album. He also wants me to design and print the CD booklets. They'd only be about 4 pages (6 including front/back) and need to be the right size for regular sized CD cases. I can't find anywhere to print these up though ![]() Any suggestions? Also I don't have my own business per se so I don't think I can join up if its a pro lab. I just need somewhere I can order these in bulks of about 50-100 at a time for a decent print, considering he isn't that well known yet... ![]() Thanks all. __________________

Oh I see. So it'd be 4, 8, 12, 16, etc. for the pages? That works too...
But still, do you know where to get them printed at? |

Printing is no problem - and TIFF files are best.
Printers work in 'standard formats' - 8.5 x 11, 11x17, 17x32; then print 2 up, 4 up, etc., to obtain required quanity. They can print any quanity/any size - just that presses are in 'standard formats'. No. 1 suggestion is check 'Comm Printers' in the area 'yellow pages' describe your project' and say you 100 copies of the material. Explain you'll be delivering art in 'Tiff' format. Rule of Printing - after the presses start the cost of paper is cheap - meaning that the basic order quanity is 1,000 (1m) and from there the cost/unit goes down. Next step is 'bindary' where they cut and bind your materials. Bottom line, get a number of quotes - say your art will be deliver in 'Tiff', and ask for complete costs for your printing run. |

Before you go out to get quotes from professional printers you can design and proof print CD booklets yourself with one of a multitude of freeware and shareware applications. Find them with the search function at versionTracker.com. It's useful if all parties concerned have the same end result in mind.

Check out CD / DVD Duplication, CD / DVD Replication, CD / DVD Duplicators, CD / DVD Printers, Blank CDs and DVDs It's been a long time since I used them for anything but they do good professional work with disc production and packaging/printing.
