Default Test Print Image File.....

Can anyone recommend a simple and inexpensive test image file to check print quality and color gamut without a whole lot of hardware?

I had heard that the test downloads of Bill Atkinson would do this, but when I downloaded these, these would not open in CS3. These were TIFs, also.

Thank you,
Tom

Does anyone have any experience with IMatest products? With other test products?

Thanks,

Sorry Tom, I was just about to start a thread on "how to calibrate my printer" and I saw this thread I heard that some calibrators can do both the monitor and the printer? pretty cool, but I'm sure it's extremely expensive for a system like that.

Best,
Jay
