Default Redimat.com

I just ordered a bunch of these redimat packs and they turned out great! Having to cut these myself is just way to much work.

http://www.redimat.com/products/supp...pakwc_smw.html

They came all boxed up well protected and with nice quality cuts. Also they come with a nice clear bag that you put the matted image in that works great!

Seems like a great deal to me if your looking to get ready for a show or something and my experience so far has been very good!

Best,
Jay

I've been looking at these too. Of the dozen or so sites I've looked at, they seem to be the cheapest in cost, which, of course, doesn't mean they are the best. I'm glad to hear that someone liked them. My only issue is in the packages, you can only get white or black.

Thanks for the review.

Yup, the ready packs are limited variety which stinks, but you just need to piece it together to get what you want. I'm not sure if that costs more or not, but it will probably take a bit longer to get i would imagine.

Best,
Jay

I've used Logan precut mats I purchased from a local lab. They were fairly economical, and acid free. What I likes was that they carried some oddball sizes, like 10x15 and 8x12.

8x12 or 10x15 are not oddball sizes .. oddball compared to what?

they are consistent with 35mm proportions, no?

No, not to a 35mm photographer, but most arts and crafts stores sell the more traditional 8x10, 5x7, etc. Hence the oddball term. Note that most classic portraiture and fine art is not shot in 35mm format.
