Where do you all purchase your printers ink cartridges and do you buy true Canon, Epson, Hp, etc or do you go with an offbrand?
I know for me when I have tried using off-brand just for printer papers, the ink cartridges did not work on the Epson R800, but for my prints I use Epson Ink. Was just wondering where people buy their ink from? Michele ![]() __________________

Hi Michele,
I always use the orignal cartridges for my printers, it's just not worth the hassle to use aftermarket brands for the minimal savings involved imo. One place that is great for ink in the US is: http://www.atlex.com/ I haven't used them myself but have heard nothing but good things about them. I am in Canada and have cut a deal with my local supplier, you may want to try that as well. As far as different papers go you should get good quality prints if you use the paper manufacturers profiles that you can download from the website. I use many, many different types of paper with great success. One of my favourites for colour photos is Ilford Smooth Pearl for my Epson 2200. Hope that helps! Neil |

Check out Atlex, from what I can find out, they are the cheapest in the US.
I had a total fluke the other day, I contacted my local Epson rep. about getting a deal on some cartridges for my 2200 and he has a bunch of new cartridges left over from demo'ing the 2200! Free ink is good. ![]() |

Thank you for your input. I just checked out Atlex and it looks like decent prices to me (better than anywhere else). I went out and got an inexpensive inkjet printer for all my basic document, paper, emails, etc printing so I am not using my good photo printer for all that junk printing.
I like the Luster paper for my Epson prints. Michele __________________
