Default Goofy I know...but too bad!

I am SO excited. I just ordered the Epson R800 last night. It is my first purchase toward being able to do my cancer project. I could rush out and get the camera and lenses too, but I'm trying to be sensible and get good deals. The printer had a $100.00 mail in rebate I can do so I figured that was good. Had been thinking of doing the 1800, but it was (after rebate) $300.00 or more for another 4.5 inches of space and though I'd love to be able to print that large, I don't NEED to. Mostly what I'll be selling is 5x7's, 8x10's and cards. If I have someone wanting to buy bigger, I can just go ahead and get it from an online lab.

So, I'm just very much bouncing off the walls today excited about getting a printer that I have no use yet for seeing as how I don't have my camera. See...told you it was goofy. Ok, so I could print out some of the other cards I have already from my older work, but I practically would have to buy a scanner for that, and that is one of the reasons I am going digital...so I don't have to!

Anyway, Yay...that's all I had to say.

Sara

Congrats! Do keep a close watch on that rebate once you submit it. My experience with rebates has NOT been good. In fact, of the five rebates I've taken part in over the past year, I don't recall actually seeing the money back from any of them.

Re the 20D you may purchase, put Badger Graphic on your list of places to check. Also, sometimes places like Newegg and ZipZoomfly, normally tech-only stores, have good deals on these things.

I've never heard of Badger Graphic. I know about Newegg and ZipZoomfly and have heard good things about ZipZoomfly at least. I'll check out Badger Graphic though, thanks for the heads up!

We normally have managed to get our rebate money back but the last one with Turbo Tax we didn't. I know they are hoping you forget or just make a very minor minor mistake so that you don't get the rebate. Doesn't seem right that is for sure.
