Default Printing from raw format

I was in Sam's Club tonight and had my cf card with me from taking a few snapshots today. The pictures on the card were captured in raw. I was curious if the machine they had at the 1 hour processing lab would read the raw images. It did read them but the employee that worked in the lab was not sure if their printer would work with raw images. I have printed there before but all the images in the past have been .jpg. Has anyone had any experience in printing from the raw format? One other thing I didn't check is if the images can be sharpened from these machines? I think they were using a Fuji printer but I'm not sure.

Because raw are madewith processing in mind I should not think its possible .
Its not possible to do direct printing in raw straight to my printer, even though its possible to capture photos that would pass as good enough to be printed.

The Fuji software that works with the Frontier mini-lab printers supports the following image formats for printing:
- JPEG;
- TIFF (no LZW compression)
- BMP;
- GIF; and
- PSD.

Raw files cannot be printed; they must be processed into one of the above-listed format types first.

Sidenote:
In addition, MP3 and video files in your order can be burned to a CD with the rest of your images, but can't be printed (of course... )
