Default Looking for new lab

Hello all. I'm looking for some help. I have been using Alfa Color in Gardena,CA for a few years and have been INCREDIBLY happy. Lately, it seems morale is low there and all the good people have left. I used to get great communications and excellent prints, but today I uploaded several jobs...and they cant' find them. In addition, they are billing my credit card AND sending COD through UPS, all for the same job. I DON"T THINK SO!!!!

So, I'm looking for a new lab. Any insights. I'm not looking for a startup or local one hour trying to cater to the pro. I'm looking for a serious professional lab that can become part of my team, working together to create the work my clients expect. Any insights would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I have a SmugMug account, and they handle all the professional print work. Another very popular place is MPix, which is owned and operated by Miller's, whcih is the largest and most popular/professional Portrait printer/finisher here in the US.

Has anyone used WHCC lately? I see they've redesigned their web site.

WHCC is the lab I use and they have a lot more options than before and still do a great job.

I'm going to give them a whirl. Mpix has been very good, but they do not provide monitor profiles, so far as I know.

When you sign up with WHCC, ask them for the file and print so you can calibrate your monitor to their equipment. if you want samples of the textures then be sure and ask for those as well and anything else that they may be willing to send you.
