Default Giclée prints

Giclée printing seems primarily geared toward artists. Is that true?

Has anyone delved into this type of printing?

Where are some good Giclée printers located?

Thanks.

Giclee (zhee-klay) - The French word "giclée" is a feminine noun that means a spray or a spurt of liquid. (aka inkjet). Most good color houses will have the larger 9xxx series Epson printers dedicated to fine art printing.

see http://www.gicleeprint.net/index.asp for more information.

Are you saying there's no difference between that funny-sounding word and an Epson inkjet 9xxx?

Yes you are right buddy.

A gilcee or zee clay is just an epson inkjet print.

I have had some prints done for a local artist and the quality was not that great. You need a good printer and a fine image.

Its very popular for artists to sell glicee prints in the UK instead of orginals.
