Default 25TH Wedding Anniversary Portrait

I did their senior portraits about 30 years ago, then their engagement portraits a couple years later, then their wedding a year after that, and now 25 years later their anniversary portrait.

Simply stunning. Well done
Did you prep them on choice of clothing? it really contrasts nicely with their faces.

I always have a clothing consultation prior to the session. Every once in a great while they actually take my suggestions!!!

It seems most of the newer crop of photographers simply tell their clients to wear whatever they want which is why we see dad in a three piece suit, mom in a dress, son in flip flops, cut off jeans and a T shirt and daughter in PJ's and bare footed!

I like this, they look comfortable with each other even if a formal portrait session. If it was me I think I would make the background lighter and less drama. They have lots of depth and character so carry the scene.

Benji, I hear ya about the pre-meeting to discuss the shoot. Several years ago my mother arranged for an outdoor shoot with dad and I by a local outfit we had used for years. Mother was wearing transition lenses. You know, the ones that "darken" in the sun! No one even noticed nor did the photographer I would guess. But then if he was paying attention he should have noticed.

Needless to say, she was a bit more than put off by the black lenses over her face! So much for outdoor shoots AND that whole photography outfit.

Just sharing an obvious pitfall.

Nicely done and I always talk clothes with people but not all of them listen. I would say that many are self conscious and worry they will look fat so they wear something that makes them look fat trying to hide it.

I like this pose - the woman has a lovely long neck and her head position is so nice. Classic and a wall-hanger for sure.
