Thanks! I've been doing this an awfully long time!

I was one of the first digital only retouchers, starting in a prolab in 2000. I taught many photographers how to transition from film to digital.

I remember.
Wasn't your lab in Montana or Idaho,..something like that?
We starting dabbling into digital in 2000, was fully digital by 2001.
Got into PS with v5.

The lab business is SO competitive.

Yes, the lab business IS very competative and after the one I worked at fell, I bought in and did fairly well for a few years, specializing in processes other labs were giving up - mainly the original method of canvas mounting. I had customers from around the nation who kept us very busy....until the recession. Then my local studios kept us going until the coasts got better and then we crashed locally. Repairs got out of sight and I had three great photographers mentoring me to get back behind the camera as a portrait artist and that's where I live today. I still miss the work I put out, it was beautiful.

What was the name of the lab?
I spoke at the Kansas Professional Photographers Convention in Wichita about 10 years ago. It was held at a hotel that had been re purposed from an old tool manufacturing plant. I wish I could remember more, but I got really sick on that trip. LOL

The lab I worked for had closed (Color Central owned by Dale Williams) and I was in the process of opening mine (Delano Color Imaging) at the time you were here.

That would have been held at the Old Town Hotel. It's still there and a pretty neat place.

Perfect job!
How do you think, can I succeed using photo filters, color correction and skin retouching? Cause i like this site very much and don't want to use another one
