Lighting is everything for these types of images. The element that will improve the quality of these types of shots is controlled lighting, and the type of lighting you need to make these images sing is just not here.
Number four comes closest to what you are looking for, but still, it seems to lack a little dynamic. The last one, a nice expression...but the hair is very distracting. I would suggest that you look at the glamour and fashion section and look how they are lighting their models and try to emmulate that. I can see the direction you are trying to go...and you are heading in the right direction for the types of shots you are trying to create, but you still need to keep moving down the path. |

Lighting rule: always point the nose to the same side as the key light. Try that, and watch your image quality leap up. The poses aren't bad, the exposures are fine, just lacking in creative lighting. As Kelly said, you are heading in the right direction but aren't there yet.
