Fritz, All four are good. For some reason #3 really resonates with me. Color, Composition, Lighting. If I were to stare for a couple of hours I might find something to nitpick. Nah, like'em just the way they are.

These are nice, Fritz. She looks like a diverse musician. Great dog, too.
I like the lighting and mood of these as well as the PS blending. They seem a tad too closely cropped for me though.

Hey.
I like the first one the best.
I just calibrated my monitor and it seems to me there is a lot of detail loss in the shadows and a lot of blocked up blacks.
Is it the web or were you going for a darker feel/rock and roll?
I'll echo Tom and say that I'd like a little more room if it were me in the crops.

Thanks, Fran. These are deliberately black. She is overweight, much more than shows in these images, and I was trying to slim her by allowing her black slacks to meld into the BG. I pretty much try to emulate Kodachrome 25 in the post, which means DEEP blacks, which is a look I love. On other images, I will/do lighten the darks (fill the shadows more). I have an outdoor shoot coming up with this young lady, and the blacks will be less blocked up on those.

Thanks, Norm. I really like high contrast/low key images, too.

The beta software is a huge step forward, and I will be upgrading as soon as it is available. There is no aspect that is not improved, and the additional features are amazing.

I am finding the crops a bit tight on these...but most of them are 4x5 so there probably wouldn't be a problem when ordering.

Love the first of he second set. Very nice.

I am trying to think how to bring the trumpet or trombone into better play on the first one. I a mnot sure if I like the way it cuts her throat.

Lighting on the last one looks very nice. Very much like window lighting.
