Hi everyone. I haven't posted much too here, but wanted some C&C on these photos, if you don't mind
They are a couple of my favorites, although the pyramid shot isn't that great - I thought I was shooting a group and the next thing I knew, there was a pyramid in front of me! (imagine what they would have done with a few more adult beverages!)![]() ![]() This was the first time I used the 50mm f2.8 lens on my 40D but I do love it, although it was tricky getting it to focus on the couple portraits. Thanks! __________________

The first image would be better cropped vertically. I'd suggest not having they guy reaching across the girl like that. You can't see his hand, and it just pulls his upper arm clumsely across the frame. just let that camera side arm fall straight and let his hand rest on his leg. If you want to add some "connection" put his hand on her shoulder with the pinky edge toward the camera.
Groups: Stop the lens down and get the DOF you need. They are still enough not to worry about the time of the exposure. Its not a bad shot even if it is shot off the background. Its digital and that's easy to clone out. Two-Cents please. Steve |

#2 looks like fun. I agree with songman about the posing in #1. It is still a nice pic however. My personal preferences would be to tweak the levels and curves a little to make it 'pop' a little more. Nothing looks overblown to me but it just looks a little flat.
Cheers, G |

The first shot... that's the only couple that posed that way - they were trying to be cute! But I agree 100% with your comment. And the group shot - thanks. Appreciate the time ![]() |

Thank you to everyone else who responded
I too would have liked to have seen these people when they graduated. My own 20 year is next year and I'm still debating on whether or not to go. Some people obviously "grew up" while others looked like they were still wearing their prom dress and their 80's hair - and acting like a teenager. lol It was fun, but not what I expected either.__________________
