Just scrolling through, grabbed these two. I think this was my very best session ever in the whole wide world. Have had to do almost nothing to them in post. Plus the little girl is really adorable, LOL, that helps!

These are fantastic.
Second one looks a little dark on my uncalibrated monitor, but she is a cutie and I like your furniture in the woods series ![]() |

Thanks, Fran! I'm glad you mentioned the darkness. Can you answer a question for me - it's supposed to be dark everywhere but her, and she's sort of spotlighted, I guess you might say. Did I highlight her enough, or is she still too dark? Do I need to lighten her face further?
Thanks, friend! Sis |

She definitely is highlighted, but I think her white dress is bright and that grabs the eye, . Maybe with some layers and selective adjustments. I am on an uncalibrated monitor, so I'l recomment when I get home. Let's see what others think.

I think they both look awesome composition wise. The second one could stand to be lightened up just about 1/2 a stop.

I love both images. I have to say I like two better. I like the dark feel. Not dark dark, but this little angel with the darkness around her. Not sure if that is what you were going for. But that's how I see it and I absolutely love. Nicely done... I think the lighting in the pp is done very well. Nice job.

I like these.. With the second one you have endless opportunities.. Some sinister dark lighting and a horrified expression and you got an artsy winner in your hands..? Not gonna do it?
but thanks for the endless inspiration you have provided.. see ya. |

On my calibrated monitor at home, it looks much better, but I still I think if you go up a third or half stop on exposure and mask out her dress, you 're there, so that her face and the bg are a little brighter, but that her dress stays the same. |

The chair in the woods shot is so cute!
edit: I agree with Fran's suggestion on the darkness issue. ![]() |

The first one is very nice.
The second one either but the IT is missing IMHO and I think it's the frame (or crop) you chose. |

Adorable she is!
Love the first one. Do you really need all the dead space in the second? Curious. Bill |

Oh...royal blue. If I get a dress that color, will you take my photo on a chair in the woods too?

Well - maybe not ALL the dead space HAHAHA ~
Bill - hang around and see and you'll find that I really like negative space. A LOT. ![]() But I'm thinking Felix was maybe referring to that as well, so I'm hoping he will grace me with an edit. Thanks, Bill! Sis |
