Sis - what - no monochrome?? I'm shocked!!

I think this is fantastic. I LOVE the posing - her smile is great, eyes immediately pop out at you. He just looks happy to be near such a beautiful woman (and let's face it, what guy wouldn't be?!?)

My only comment about the color is that it looks a little blue. That could be the monitor I'm using (my father-in-law's small laptop), but that's what I'm seeing. I'm guessing you were in shade for this - were you using any light modifiers??

IMO - there's no reason not to be absolutely proud of this one!

Thank you, Fran, and thank you too, Nic - when I posted it, I thought it looked fine, but then when I look at it again, I was wondering if it was a little bit cool...back to the drawing board, although it must not be much because Fran said it looked good...

Nic - I can't remember how much shade we had. I think it was sort of dappled. I was facing the sun in this one too, but I think even I was in dappled shade. As far as any light modifiers? Nope. I carry around my reflector to look important but then I forget all about even having it with me. HAHA

True story: When I first came to the US I wanted to get a batman shirt. When I got enough money I went on my own to a Goldblatt department store to get me that shirt. Picked one up - Underroos in plastic wrap. Came home, removed from the plastic bag and tried it on. It was down to my knees. I was a skinny 12 yr old and picked up a size L - had no idea of the concept. I was so mad! Gave it to my older bro who wore it.

Felix, you always get me to looking harder at my work, and I thank you for that, seriously. I did do a heavy vignette because of the brightness of the sun coming in behind the flowers. So is it because it's really dark, or is it because the vignette "edge" is too visible? Thanks!

Felix, you always get me to looking harder at my work, and I thank you for that, seriously. I did do a heavy vignette because of the brightness of the sun coming in behind the flowers. So is it because it's really dark, or is it because the vignette "edge" is too visible? Thanks!

mmhhh ... the vignette is too strong (dark) therefore too visible. I would take it back until its not so strong anymore but the eye is still lead to the middle.

I stated on the other thread that I hated the tones, and here I think the problem is gone... Very good! (and notice how felix agrees also on the vignette part)

Yes, I agree too. I'll desaturate the vignette until it's not obvious. I still think it might be needed here because of the bright background, though, but you're right about using it more carefully, BC. Thanks!
