I have nothing profound to offer other than great job. She's pretty and you did her justice.

Very pretty girl. You posted 'white background' however I suspect as there was only one light source and not enough light... you get grey. Like the pose in general... however I am not a big fan of 'looking into the crotch' shots so had I been doing the pose I would have turned her (entire body) slightly camera right to not loose the integrity of the pose but not give the 'window into the crotch' as formed by the position of her legs. Just my opinion though.

This is beautifully lit. The quality of the light is simply outstanding, and the pose is wonderfully contemporary and very believable.
The exposure, focus and composition is exceptional, and she is absolutely beautiful.Critique. Let's see what would happen if we lowered that right hand down to just below where her left hand is. That would allow that arm to flow better because it would get rid of that sharp 90 degree bend in her arm. Also with the arm lower we would not be able to see her crotch. Now lets turn our attention to the other arm. It is missing! I see a hand popping out of nowhere, and an upper arm disappearing downward but nothing in between the two. A slight bend of that arm outward would allow our eyes to gently flow downward along that arm to her feet, then up the (now corrected) gently flowing right arm, up to her beautiful face, then down the back arm again etc, etc. Benji |

Okay so everyone has mentioned the lighting. So that is covered. Anyone see the eyes? Or did they just see the crotch? Or was it the knee poking through the jeans?
This girl has nice eyes, very nice eyes, and a very nice smile and face. However, that knee poking up, to me distracts one from seeing the eyes and the rest of this girl. At least to me it does. Mind ya, I am but a n00b so take what I say with a 1/2 grain of salt. Or less. |

I always look into the eyes. I just didn't metion it. The knee does sort of distract form her face. She's beautiful.

Nope- I don't see anything wrong with the image as it is. A beautifully lit image of a beautiful woman. The pose isn't bad for me since my eyes were drawn to her face (lighter than the knee and the jeans). She's got great eyes, and they are nice and open; keeping my attention there.
1 light- great job! So where did you place the reflector? |

Thanks everyone. Especially Benji for the detailed critique and suggestions on the pose.
There's not a huge amount to explain to be honest. One large softbox (maybe 4" x 3") on ground level about 3~4 foot from her. That's it. The walls of the studio are white so I guess they act as natural reflectors lifting the shadows. |

the crotch does not bother me, typical ciaran lighting, very nice. what bothers me is how you get these people! you have some beautiful people come to you. then right hand is a little bothersome being flat and appearing a little large. the other hand i did not notice til benji pointe it out and now i notice it is all alone without an arm. overall this is a picture i would be proud to call my own if it was.
