B&W Happiness
I know, I know - the shadow from my hair is going over my eye - right through the catchlight even. But actually I sort of like that. ![]() ![]() Freckles - left them in for fun. This was very literally an accident. I had the shutter release in one hand and while I was moving my messy hair out of my face I accidentally pressed the button. I sort of like it though. ![]() click the images to view them larger __________________

I don't see anything wrong with freckles. Natural beauty can't be hidden. Great shots indeed.

Athena,
I really like the first one and agree that the shadow doesn't bother me. As for the second, that really captures your "natural beauty" and doesn't look over-processed. It's "you." Your eyes are wel lit, and it's fantastic. Love the freckles !!!! |

Yes, the shadow is a key element in the first.. Like it a lot..
Remember that talk when you said there is a hint of gypsy in your looks.. Well, looking at the second photo, I would say there is a hint of hawaian (how do you spell that?) in your looks.. ![]() You are the letter o, in the word Wow! |

.How do you trigger the shutter for self portraits? I just bought an inexpensive Phottix wireless remote, and it's way cool. ![]() How about trying my "fly away hair removal" on your first outtake? Let's see how good a tutor I am. ![]() |

Hi Frank, I am using a very short wired shutter release (the canon one). I want one of those remotes! I was going to buy one from GI (as well as a wireless flash trigger), and wanted to use my paypal account, but Paypal won't let me ship to a non-US address with my US paypal account. What a pain.
I thought of you when I posted this picture because of the flyaway hairs. I should fix them, but time is short today. I did however try it out on a different pic I was editting yesterday. Going to take some practice I think to be able to do it without leaving marks... |

Athena, Thanks to the restrictions on you, the locals have no idea what a great photographer they have in their midst. That is almost a tragedy. I have seen some great faces in SEA and would love to see what you would have done with them.

on her self-portaiture set there are 60 somewhat different portaits: Self Portraiture - a photoset on Flickr Now all you got to do is, invite her to Camel ![]() |

Athena,
I had heard that depending on what camera you have, you can use the all freq TV Remote controls available in a lot of Stores. I dont have Canon so I dont know about them, but I did hear that my Nikon D80 can be used on the TV Remotes if I make it for an RCA TV. I will try and see If I can Search it out or Google for it about Canon and the TV Remotes. |
