Here is my capture of a friend of mine this afternoon! Please, input welcome! (Sun too much of an issue!) This is my first portrait!

Great smile here but I would have moved her out of that light! Just a little too harsh here.

A couple of things here
1. I think I would have found some shade some place right off. (A half power flash or reflector is in order here - if no shade available). 2. Then I would use a half power flash (in the shade) for that distance shown (it should be enough, I think). If shade is near the sun area, a reflector may be used to put light into the shade - with extreme caution. 3. I think I would also go VERTICAL or something close to a SQUARE TYPE of image shape with this. Good Luck |
