Laycey and I have lost two, a boy and a girl! The hurt never goes away completely but time does dull it some. Unfortunately there are things that trigger that pain again for a short time but that is called life!!!
Your picture is very, very moving but I am also glad i saw it! If this is a personal experience you are photographing, please accept a warm reassurance there are those who have been there and understand the pain and grieve with you. Dakota |

That is a very powerful image. Both of my younger sisters lost their first borns this past summer (car accident). You do go on - their other children still need parents. However, I can't imagine being able to TAKE a picture like this.

The person in the photograph is me.... my daughter happened to be handling my camera and was looking for a picture outside the window.
We were talking about her sister.... my youngest.... and I lost my hard outer shell for a few moments. I wasnt aware that she took the picture... but given that it was a grab shot... and the impressive result.... I posted it for her... for both girls so that they know I do have the courage to go on and that my youngest is missed so much. |
