This is a shot where I experimented with B&W conversion and tricks with lighting in PS.....Anybody Like it? Am I at least going in the right direction?
P.S.> it looks brighter and better on my comp....sorry I don't know how to prep for uploads.... __________________

I don't know if it's nobody likes it or just that the trafffic on here has slowed down so much that the half dozen or so people that do all the posting haven't had a chance to visit and make their posts. So going 3 hours without a comment isn't that far fetched. If nobody has posted something in another 12 hours or so, I'd begin to worry.
![]() Oh, interesting picture and nice back. I think it's a little dark for my tastes though. Mike |

While it may be a bit dark, the details in the shadows are retained. I like the way the light plays on the muscle tone. I've always thought the human form was a wonderful subject for black/white and this shot is no exception.

I don't know. Nothing in the direction of her gaze might distract her, so I would infer from the pose that she is lost in her own thoughts or perhaps is slightly offended and deliberately turning away from the viewer. In either case, I get the impression that she would not welcome the viewer's company just now.

To dark to me. Not much difference between her hair and the background. It isn't too dark in places, it just needs a wider gamut or range of tones. Her shoulder looks like it is scrunched upwards, or her head is tipped over, and that makes that part of her form look funny to me.
And you got to give some photos time to get replies. It is a shame though, but that is life in the big PhotoCamel and elsewhere. We got photos on her with no replies, and they been around for a long time. Wish it was better, and maybe someday we will. Just don't want someone posting "nice shot" to all the images though. |

Hummmmm seems everyone thinks the image is dark and no separation between hair and background. I see it perfectly. I like the softness, the kinda mystery involved in this. Great work
