Alison,
I really like that look. Not only the canvas texture effect in the photo, but the rest of the processing as well. Nice composition and great eyes. Regards, Peter |

Thanks Peter
I am not used to playing around with pictures like that so I wasnt sure how it would come across to others... I didnt get a whole lot I liked from the fishing trip... the kids were just too busy running around instead of fishing and then it got dark fast! |

I like the idea and the picture itself, but I feel there should be a touch more contrast. After all, when we paint we're not as constricted by the dynamic range of our capture medium. Keep up the good work. =) |

I think the jury is in, Canvas works with this image! Of course I am biased, I love the eyes on that little one.

nice image akrab. hard to say if this one works with canvas. Go and print it on canvas. I think canvas gives an extra touch to portraits. I have just printed a few and love them.

you think so Padre? the more I play with the image.... without the canvas... the more I like this image that I already posted. I will post the *uncanvased* one and you will see.... it just is really lacking imo.

My vote would be for the canvas PS work. On the other hand can you go wrong with stunning eyes like that? How much (if any) PS was involved in achieving the color of his eyes?

I did nothing special to his eyes.... I edited the entire photo... his eyes are very blue though I think they are enhanced by the light and the colors around him in that photo... here is a pic that shows his eye color *truer*

I am with you on the missing something part. It is a really nice picture though! I think it could be because everything is so bright. maybe if there was a darker background in the back of it. I bet you could make one like behind that rock.
He is beautiful! I am a kid photo lover! I guess it is because I have two boys of my own that are my primary subjects! Hehe. ![]() |

Yes I do, print one and put it in your house where people can see it and you might be surprised.
