Nice light, someday I may get up the courage to try a self portrait. So tell me how did you focus, it looks dead on?

Thanks I get a thrill when I see cast lighting .
I used f/1.8 with a 50mm and a remote release so I can hear the beep ,its close enough that I could center my beak to the lens . I then used a blur to enhance the shallow depth of field and hide my wrinkles then sharpened the peepers.

Thanks for the info! I would have to use a lot of blur to hide my wrinkles .

A very serene picture. You have a great expression...but then...I look at it and for some reason it looks like you are in prison! That's not a slam, I just get that impression as I look at the photo. But it is a nice portrait.

Well what better place and time to practice. Keep it up and post some more. Maybe do a little "oh my gosh I am so bored" shots and post away. We would be happy to see.

I like it too. I hope you feel better soon. Better not get out of jail too quick, might hurt yourself. Nice shot!....Chris
