Someone here at PhotoCamel (I think) turned me on to this retouching program. It is most unique, takes about 60 seconds to completely retouch an image, really works well, and it is only $39.95! Check out my before and after images below.

I find it's a bit overdone. I would also reduce the effect by 20 - 30% I guess. Anyway thanks for sharing. I might want to try it out.

Benji, I looked at that program and am pleased you and others have been using it. I hope all will share more about how you like it. As for the photo, that is a face that does not need much retouching IMO. Also, to my eye, the retouch looks rally overdone. Others mya think different.

I'm thinking "overdone" is the point. Perhaps the clients are looking for a rich, luxurious print rather than the harsh reality. However, the reality is, that in some light, that is how she may look. Especially through the eyes of someone that cares deeply for her, like a parent or boyfriend.

Another thing I have noticed time and time again is that images on a computer screen don't look like the same as images printed onto photographic paper. While I have not had this one printed yet, I'll bet the retouching on this image would be reduced by about 50% when printed onto photographic paper.
Benji P.S. to golfer. Actually I retouched the blemishes on her face last week before I bought the new program, so I guess you could say this has been retouched twice. ![]() |

There's another excellent portraiture filter for PC and MAC users as well, called Portraiture PRO by Imagenomic, though it's pricey - $169.95. Imagenomic - Imagination at Shutter Speed
Besides being intelligent filter, which does adjustments to skin only /still leaving its texture/ , it has also capability to do processing in batches . Busy photographer can batch process images in folders without need for any supervision. Many, and I myself consider it best portraiture processing software ever released. Regards - Waldemar |
