can not get the red out of face without reducing the red in the fire? help please

You'd have to select only the face with some selection set and then change the hue or saturation. You could "paint" the face with a quick mask and then use that to adjust...

Depends on far you want to go, but a quick lasso around the face and an adjustment of hue/saturation can do something like this?

Cool you guys beat me to it Yeah for something like this I usally use the lasso tool to select the area I want to work on, doesnt need to be an exact selection, just choose a large number feather so it blends in well. Then some tweaking of the levels and that does the trick
