You've really captured a beautiful mood. Of course, you have the base of the tree screwed to the table, right? I wonder if you son thinks the size of the tree relates to the size of the presents Santa brings? hee hee.

Great shot. I'm sure you will have many wonder filled moments as your son learns all about Christmas. Enjoy the moments.

This has the start of something good, but the burn and dodge are very evident. If you could blend the burn areas a lil finer this will be like a rockwell type image. I am referencing the halo around the tree and your lil one. Using the paint with light techinque in photoshop is a learning curve that takes a while to master, remember for a more believable burn and dodge vary the opacity frequently.

Keep up the good work.

I can see this on Christmas cards with a twinkle PS brush used around it and on some of the lights! Great pic.

bgeorge, I didnt touch the burn and dodge tool ones. It is midnight sepia that I applied and I left a line around the tree on purpose to make it look like the glow from the tree Ont he back of my son I agree I should have been more careful

i know that action ( it is a nice one).. So you used a mask then to paint out the effect, right ? Same ideas apply, vary the opacity of your brush then the this will help you with your blend. Cool thing is if you goof, use the white brush to paint back in and start again.

Again, nice image... would make a super xmas card.

Bill
