Default sitting bride

This is something you probably don't see too much anymore.* It is a fifteen year old negative I scanned to test a scanner.* I was surprised how much different "feels" from a modern digital image so I decided to share it.

I call this my walmart lighting and studio setup

You mean different as in the looks, pose?
Looks a bit blown on the dress, probably from the scan?

The image itself looks different. Digital images look hard not sharper or anything I can put a finger on just harder; these days there are few film portriats on forums so i thought his one might interest you. the dress is a product of color balance actually. It was yellowed and it might have been in real life I don't remember to get the dress white, I had to 'mess' with it.

I know what you mean ... digital looks different, but it's getting better and better...
Care to post the original not color corrected picture?

btw: who is the bride?

Cheers

Its a fifteen year old negative... and i didn't keep the corrected one. The dress might have been ivory which would account for the color problems. I just decided rather than deal with all the "you need to correct the white balance" remarks from the digital people I would make it more or less white.
