Jim,

I'm impressed! You used the daylight as a background and hair light, and some flash (or a reflector, or both) to illuminate the faces of these two little angels er I mean two little girls! That shows that your actually THOUGHT about what you were doing before you made the capture. GOOD FOR YOU!!!!
\
I love the first image, and even the dog looks good. In the second I would clone out the fingers growing out of the little girls waist and the hand growing out of the shoulder of the other little beauty.

Jim these are really nice. The eyes are bright and sharp, the tones are good, excellent job. I might tighten the crop just a bit and add a wee bit of contrast but that is splitting hairs! Beautiful girls!

Thank you all for your comments. I really don't know anything about portrait photography. I spend all of my time photographing nature and scenics, but
I do love to catch the little ones when they are willing.

* The first shot is just fantastic. The second shot I might have cropped a little more into the shot, as I myself, would like to see the hands of the girls holding each other in this shot. Very very nice. Well done. If they were my grandkids, I would have at least a 16x20 of the first shot on my wall.
