Default Help edit photo for residency

I took this photo with my ring flash. I was wondering if anyone can help me edit it, so the face isn't as hot. It'll be for a 2x2" pass port photo that'll be attached to my application. I'm unable to get it to a 2"x2" without having the knot of my tie show....

Thank you for your help

I can tone it down a little if you want...

Did you want me to crop to a 2x2?

Would toning it down help with the hot flashes? I cannot get the neck of the tie in the 2" x 2" crop... Not sure if I'm doing it wrong. Never had this problem before

2x2 version here...

Hope this is what you had in mind...

I would usually spend a lot more time on something like this, but since you are only printing a 2x2 there is really no need!

Next time don't use a ring flash!
Remember, ring flash is best used as fill light...

Thank you, I really appreciate. It looks significantly better. I do not have the sb 600 at my apartment. Really wish I did... Thanks again!

I just tried to print these off. Is there a way one could blend the forehead aspect of the photo? It appears very dark on the print.
I'm trying to do so now
Thanks again

If you have the time, you'd really be better off reshooting.
If you were to face a white wall or reflector positioned above the camera - point the flash at the wall or reflector and you'll get much better light than you got from your setup on this shot.

The tool for lightening your forehead would be the DODGE tool.

In the center of you forehead - its quite a bit darker and is off-color. It looks like you may have had a flash hot spot there and tried to darken or patch over it. Adding a quick Dodge Curve quickly evens out the luminosity allowing a color correction.
Cheers, Murray
