I voted for "Reminiscence". Her face shows age and sorrow (for whatever reason- could be poverty,loss,etc). BUT, I think her eyes show "better days goneby". She looks as if she is in deep thought.

...I have a slight problem with this poll:

If you wanted a purely photographic poll on which shot we like best (The category is "Portrait using Natural Lighting"), then you better not 'Title' them.

Now, the title also plays along: the 'Poverty' shot will probably 'win' the poll, because it is the most strong 'title/image' combination.

In other words: by giving the images a title, you 'force' the audience to look at them from *that* perspective...

When *I* look at your shots, as you now posted them, 'poverty' is the clear winner.

Without a title, IMHO #1 and/or #7 would be more serious contenders, as *I* like the shots better, but 'in combination with the title' they are not that strong...

...as always, all the above is just *my* €0.02 worth... YMMV...

thanks max! i haven't been online for days so i just saw your comments.
well now you've said it, i agree that i shoul've entitled the images. coz it may cause confusion for those who want to vote for the category natural lighting. anyways thanks for those who vote. i submitted "poverty" but unforunately there are a lot better than me. i hope i had a better luck next time
