1. Most used lens?

Here's mine:

1. 50mm f/1.4

2. 135mm soft focus

AlbertP,

mhhh.... would be a good idea IMHO to include the body you are using, 50mm on a FF has different feel and look than on a 1.6x body...

That said:

My most used lens on my 20D 1.6x body is the 24-70F2.8L, great range, fast enough (F2.8 ) to make the extra-sensor of 20D kick in, so fast(er) and precise(-er) to focus as well.

My most favourite lens on my 20d 1.6x body is the 70-200F2.8 IS, I absolutely love it's output

Both these lenses give me a very comforting feeling of convidence, when in a shoot, I feel I can really 'trust' these lenses to deliver, and I just know that if a shot fails, it is *me* failing, not the lenses...

On my FM2, my most used lens is a 20mm f/2.8 AIS Nikkor. as you really can't beat the ultra wide view offered. I can draw everything around me into the picture by using the 20mm. I just got a 105mm f/1.8, though, so we'll see how this pans out.

On digital, my most used lens is a 50mm f/1.8D AF Nikkor; it offers a 75mm field of view which serves, sort of, as an 85mm for portraits and stuff.

As for my favorite lens... it'd probably be the Leitz M 50mm f/2 Summicron, as it is one fantastic performer even wide open. The bokeh's pretty awesome too.

Favorite - On a film body - MF 180mm f2.8 ED — it's just a sweet piece of glass that I can get close with... without having to get too close.

Most used - On a D1x - AF-S 28-70mm f2.8 D — it's a good lens, reasonably versatile.

on my 20D my most used at the moment is the 24-70 2.8 - but saving for a 85 1.2

Most Used - Varies with time. Currently a Nikkor 300/4 with 17e II attached. Over the last year it would be my Sigma EX 12-24, no question.

Favorite - Based on usage, the Sigma EX 12-24. Emotionally, the Nikkor 105/2DC

For me both favorite and most used is the Sigma 10-20EX despite all its flaws. I do mostly landscapes and I just love the effect of very wide angle in general.

1. Most used lens? 100-400 mm IS on Canon 20D because of 640 mm telephoto reach in a small portable package.

2. Favorite lens? 16-35 mm Canon on EOS 1Ds MKII because of great wide angle performance thru the zooming range and ability to crop without much loss in image quality.

On my 1D MKII my favorite and most used lens is my Canon 24-70 "L". Then comes my Canon 70-200 "L" IS. I just bought the Canon 17-40 "L" last week. I'll be interested to see if I start using it more then my 24-70 lens.

Currently (on Olympus ZD mount)

Most used: 50mm f/2.0. I like taking macros with this + tube. Fabulous performance.
Favourite: 50-200mm f.2.8-f/3.5. Just has a great look wide open. Very sharp and excellent contrast.
