Default Good place to buy "cheap" camera accessories?

So I forgot the charger for my 40d battery in another city. It's almost dead and I'm carrying my XTI around as a backup. I now realize how much I love the 40d
I went around today looking for a replacement charger and the cheapest was $95 plus tax. There has to be something cheaper, it's a freaking battery charger.

Anyways... rant over... anyone know of any good places?
I found a few places, but don't know if any are reliable and I'm sure someone here has had experience

That is one of those items, like filters and batteries, where most electronics stores will mark up to offset the cost of their DSLR's and other low profit margin items.

Unfortunately, you will likely have to bite the bullet. Maybe Walmart might have something....but Wolf, Ritz, bestBuy, Cicrcuit City...all those places are smoking crack with their high priced accessories, IMO.

Was thinking of some non brand name website or something
I usually get accessories from dealextreme (the $2 77mm lens caps on there are way better than the canon ones btw), but no luck for this charger...

I found THIS ONE online at a pretty resonable price and it also comes with an adapter so you can charge it in your car's cigarette lighter.

Sure there's cheaper way. Go to the nearest Radio Shack. They can fix you up with the right stuff to build your own. It won't be pretty but it will work.

That's one of the reasons I have a grip on both of my bodies. I can run 'em on AA's if I need to.

I have one of these from SterlingTek and it works great. Fast shipping too.

Cool, thanks all. I ordered one, hope getting it from the states won't screw me (stupid customs fees) Also found one on dx for $6 and bought it (searched by battery number).

I'm also getting an extra battery.
Honestly though... I think I shoot a lot on my 40D and I've never had a "oh no, my battery is dead" moment on the 40d - even while using an IS lens and the built in flash. Still, nice to have for moments like this, right?

My trusty old Minolta Maxuum 9000 ran on just two AA's - the only internal battery setup offered. For a full-functioin AF film camera, it could run forever on two AA's. They would last a year or more.

Don't get me wrong, I like the new rechargeable setup that came with my A100/A700 digital bodies, but, if you forget your charger, lose or damage the cells, you will have to lay out some serious dollars, and you will be out of commission until replacements arrive.

You might also try Batteries+ if there is one in your town.
