A while back i was at a show. I am an artist, body painter and photographer. Needless to say multitasking at one event and being slightly clumsy while doing several things, the neck strap my camera got hooked on a chair and yanked my camera out of my hands when i was showing a client pictures that i had taken. When this had happened it broke the mounting shoe on my sigma ef-500 dg super flash. I was told that i can buy a replacement part and just unscrew and replace it myself without having to send it it to have it repaired. Any advice on how to do this and whether or not is wise? Will it involve any soldering? I greatly appreciate any advice or input. Sincerely, Bryan Crump bryan@bryancrump.com

818-988-7111 This company is a repair shop and dealership. They do, manufactures replacement "feet" which are made to fit in the the hot-shoe of cameras. The are made to replace broken plastic bases, however, the are much stronger because the are made of aluminum. Theses feet feature synch sockets and open flash buttons. Contact them to find out if they have one for your flash and if it is user installable. I noticed your question on FIX IT- Since then I found the m in Shutterbug but there were not his on the web. I hope this helps. Ed __________________
