Of course dedicated archival film's longevity is better than DVDs' or harddisks'. So is engraving in metal, or even in diamond! Or a dozen other techniques. However, they are faaar from practical or affordable for consumers or small (one man/woman) businesses!

People must come to realize that film and digital compliment each other and put their personal feelings aside.Film is quite practical because it is a well established, viable method .If a person is a professional they are obligated to use whatever technology available to satisfy the customers needs.People can only choose what's right for them. Thanks for responding.
