In fact my very FIRST digital experience was with an Apple, can't remember it's name and it was like about a 6x4 size [640x480 pixels] or something like that.

Started doing 'news' stories for the last minute deadline stuff for my newspaper, battery built in and unreliable you'd get something like 10 shots and the thing would go to sleep and would need to be plugged in again.
My first purchased digital was the Nikon Coolpix 900s @ 1.3PM and AA batteries, it blew the Apple away.

This is the one that started me with digital

The exact same thing was said about Apple and a PDA/phone just a couple of years ago and now we have the iPhone.

I think there is room in the market for some sort of photography device that is unique in the way that only Apple does things. Maybe capture/edit/publish to web or submit to printing service, all in one device?

A valid point if Apples actually cost more than other computers.

That Apple chooses to not compete in the bottom of the market does not mean that when comparing computers of similar power, they are any more expensive.
